Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is Spaceport Technology?
Methods, mechanisms, and machinery used to:
process space cargo,
process space vehicles,
launch and land space vehicles.

Why should you care about spaceport technology?

More than just rocket science, spaceport technology is a means of revolutionizing our lives. Already satellites launched into orbit from spaceports including the Cape Canaveral Spaceport are providing us with less expensive long distance calls, more television channels, faster credit card transactions, inexpensive personal navigation systems, a worldwide Internet and better weather monitoring.

Tomorrow, spaceports will speed global travel and the delivery of mail and cargo. They also will be the departure point for a vacation in a hotel in low Earth orbit. And someday, they’ll be portals to Mars.
